By default, image files in the World Fax Client folder are shown. Select the image that you previously captured (e.g. doc1.tif) and click Open.
At that point, your image should appear in the main workspace.
For example, click the data field icon
Here, you can choose a different field such as {Name}, then click OK. The new field name should appear in the box on the main workspace:
Using the Properties Tab, you can also play with the font properties and other settings.
You can also preview the results of the data merged into the document. Go to the Properties Tab and use the down arrow to select the object "Document:CoverPage"
You will get the Properties for the overall document. Double-click the name "Test Fax List".
Click your desired FaxList and click Open. By default, the World Fax Client folder is shown. If your files are in a different folder, then use the "Look In" drop down box to find the correct location. By default, World Fax looks for files with a .fax extension. If your files use a different file extension such as .txt, then change the file type in the "Files of Type" drop down box.
You will now be able to see the preview data on top of your document!
When finished, click
the Save icon
Change this to an appropriate name and click Save. For example, you might want to name the .cpt file with the same name as your tif image such as doc1.cpt. After saving, exit the CPE.
Select the .cpt file that matches your .tif file (e.g. doc1.cpt) and click Open.
Finally, click the name .cpt file to highlight
it, then click the Up Arrow button |
