| Susan
Stackhouse, president, has built a very successful retail
operation with 15 locations in 5 states. These include
news and gift stores, duty free shops and the newest
addition is a concept called Mindworks. |
| As
Susan’s business grew, so did her employee benefits
problems. “We almost needed a separate storage room
for the various provider booklets and forms, and it
was difficult for us to answer an employee’s question
on their specific plan without first researching what
plan, rate, and network the employee was covered by,”
she said. |
| Leslie
Saunders Insurance and Marketing International began
working with Stellar Partners about two years ago to
assist with recruitment, retention and administration
on a national medical program. The current plan at that
time had multiple plans (PPO, HMO and Indemnity), multiple
rates, and multiple employee contributions. It was very
difficult for the employer to forecast costs and plan
design options when they were basically at the mercy
of the providers. |

was able to work with Stellar Partners to produce a
plan to fit their needs. As Susan says: “Not only does
our new plan significantly reduce our administrative
expense, we were also able to expand our coverage and
our costs have actually been less than our old plan“.

but Leslie and Susan operate a currency exchange together
in a business partnership at Fort Myers Airport. |
